Cannondale Size Chart (Frame Sizing Guide)

Cannondale bicycles are expensive,. If you are buying one, then you’ll probably never look for another one again. So, choosing a perfectly fitting bike is critical. When you pick up a bike that doesn’t fit, you’ll not only lose the joy of cycling, but it may also lead to muscle strain.

Cannondale offers variety of bicycle types, such as road/race bike, mountain & e-bike, kids bikes, and so on. Most Cannondale bikes come in eight frame sizes ranging from 48-63 cm.

Now, how do I know my right Cannondale bike size? Pretty simple! You just have to drive through the below charts as per your height (and most importantly your standover height).

First step – know your standover height (important)

Before we move ahead, let’s first understand three basic things to find out your ideal Cannondale frame size:

• Leg inseam – Distance from your crotch to your foot with shoes on (measure in centimeter)
• Standover height – Distance from top tube to the ground (inseam length + 2.54/5 cm = your standover height)
• Cannondale geometry – Cannondale officially mentions on their website to consider ‘standover height’ more seriously than your height. The brand uses ‘F’ as standover height in their bike geometry.

EXAMPLE – If you have an inseam of 70 cm (30″), choose a bike with standover height of 65.5 cm (29″). The thumb rule is – there should be at least 1-2 inch gap between your crotch and top tube when straddling the bicycle.

What if your height/standover height falls in the same size?

• Go for a larger one if you are tall and have longer arms and legs.
• Casual rider and have shorter legs/arms? Opt for the smaller one.
• Pro rider and looking for speed? Larger size would be perfect.
